Vaiorlith Elle Meme - 'Vaio'

Brown filly born May 2009 by Grafenstolz (Trakehner) out of our 2nd generation mare, Iorlith Herself, ¾ TB ¼ Shire.

Vaio’s sire Grafenstolz was the winner of the World Championship for young event horses at Le Lion d’Angers, he qualified in all three disciplines in the German National Championships and won the Eventing. In the capable hands of Michael Jung he went on to win many international events including Compiegne. Today he is competing in high-level dressage and being groomed for the British Olympic team whilst also fulfilling his stud duties. Christopher Bartle, who trains the German Olympic Event team, told us that Grafenstolz has a super temperament and is very trainable.

Her dam Iorlith is a full sister to Classic Snow Leopard who qualified last year to go 3*. We put her in foal at the age of three, so she was a very young mum but did it all perfectly!

Vaio is very pretty with extravagant active paces. She has a sweet temperament and is very laid back, to the point that she just walks everywhere – she never ever hurries.

Vaio is baby sitting Abbi at the moment, they are good friends although her very best friend is our huge Touchatout.

Like Abbi, she is bred to go right to the top and it would be wonderful for us to see that happen. This is the first foal in our family without a blaze, just a big star. Is that a sign for the future – we hope so!
